Surface Temperature Thermocouples are used to measure surface or body temperature in machineries, vessels, pipes and the like. Their construction is simplex, with J, K or T as per MC96.1 standards. A teflon insulated cable allows temperature measurement up to 250 °C, while a glass fire insulated cable allows temperature measurement up to 300 °C. The copper alloy or SS washer is available for screw sizes of 0.25, 6, 8 and 10 inches.
