GPS Master Slave Clocks
Radix GPS Master Slave Clocks provide highly accurate time synchronisation for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications. Using a time signal from GPS satellites, these clocks ensure precise and consistent time distribution across connected clocks and systems. Radix offers GPS Master Slave Clocks with the following connectivity options: RF Master-Slave Wireless Clocks, RS485 Modbus RTU Master-Slave Clocks, Ethernet NTP Clocks (Slave Clocks with or without a Master Clock), and Wi-Fi Master-Slave Clocks to suit different installation requirements.
Clocks are available in 4, 6, 10 and 12 digit, with 2.3” and 4” digit height, in wall-mount, flush-mount and flameproof enclosures. Parameters displayed can be time, and time plus date. 24-hour and 12-hour formats are available.
Designed for reliable operation and easy integration, Radix GPS Clocks support accurate time synchronisation across manufacturing facilities, hospitals, commercial buildings, educational institutions, airports and other critical environments.
What is a GPS Clock?
A GPS Clock is a time synchronisation system that receives an accurate UTC time signal from GPS satellites and distributes it to connected clocks and systems. GPS Clocks help organisations maintain consistent, accurate time across multiple locations, improving operational efficiency and reducing the need for manual time adjustments.
Working Principle of a GPS Clock
A GPS antenna, which will need to be placed in line of sight near a window, receives an accurate UTC time signal from GPS satellites. The GPS receiver transfers the information to the Radix GPS Master Clock for processing. The master clock then distributes the synchronised time to all the slave clocks across the facility using communication methods such as RF (radio frequency, which is wireless), RS485 Modbus RTU (cable connected), Ethernet NTP (cable connected), or Wi-Fi (wireless).
All the connected slave clocks receive the synchronised time and maintain uniform time display across the entire facility with minimal maintenance requirements. Except for Wi-Fi, the status of the slave clocks can be monitored and displayed by the master clock, and also logged in a UTILITY.
