Clamp on RTD sensors are designed to measure temperatures of pipes and cylindrical surfaces, where welding, drilling or machining is not possible. The RTD is designed to be detachable, built with curved mounting pad and mounting clamp that can be installed on pipes and cylindrical surfaces. The detachable design ensures that the RTD can be easily installed or replaced without removing the mounting pad and clamp from the process. Different sizes of mounting clamps and curved pads are available to fit different pipe sizes (up to 6”). These Clamp On RTD sensors measure temperatures up to 200°C and their teflon insulated integral cable is rated for temperatures up to 250 °C. Optional overall stainless steel braiding on cable can be constructed for protecting the cable from mechanical damage and for additional thermal safety.
