Download PDFSCC421 is a dual channel signal converter which converts Pt100 to RS485 / MODBUS RTU. In some industrial applications where it’s not possible to have a PLC near the field device because of the harsh environment, remote I/O's such as SCC421 are used. SCC421 can be placed close to the field device which eliminates long lengths of multiconductor cable. RS485 signal from SCC421 can be sent to PLC at any distance on a high-speed medium using MODBUS RTU.
